Alkyl polyglucoside

\ ˈal-kəl \ˈpä-lēˈglü-kə-ˌsīd \ Naturally Derived APG, Sparteine or Triton
What it is:

Alkyl polyglucoside is a biodegradable ingredient derived from plant starch and fatty alcohol from coconuts.[1,2,3] It is also known as APG, Sparteine, or Triton.[4,5]

What it does in our products:

Alkyl polyglucoside is a surfactant. We use the ingredient in our dishwasher detergent. However, alkyl polyglucoside can also be found in personal care products, laundry products, bathroom cleaners, and other cleaning products.[6,7] The ingredient is useful in products that need stable foam, low streaking, and no filmy residue.[8]
